Mimaki distributor Hybrid says display producers may benefit from demand for short runs of labels and stickers
Hybrid Services, exclusive distributor of Mimaki printing equipment in the UK and Ireland, has highlighted labels as an additional market for display producers to explore. Mimaki label printing kit will be on show at this autumn's Labelexpo Europe trade fair.
Duncan Jefferies, marketing manager at Hybrid Services, explains: "Very often, the concept of a 'short run' to label printers is still many thousands of units, so it's not uncommon for them to turn away the really short runs of tens or hundreds of units.
"What the sign-maker or graphics company can offer is a pure digital workflow, extolling the benefits of variable data, accurate and creative contour and die-cutting, and – dependent upon the Mimaki printer and ink type – the capability to create metallic prints, labels produced on clear or coloured substrates that are accurately backed up with white, or even tactile labels that benefit from a raised UV print."
Mimaki will showcase its UJF-3042 UV LED flat-bed printer and CJV30 series integrated ink-jet print-and-cut unit, among other kit, at Labelexpo Europe in Brussels, Belgium from September 28th to October 1st.
