Bex Design's Ian Board and Mel Rowden with the Wiltshire Air Ambulance
Screen and digital print company Bex Design is limbering up for a 97-mile (156km) walk this weekend to celebrate its silver anniversary and to raise funds for Wiltshire Air Ambulance.
Starting in Yatton Keynell, a Wiltshire village near Bex Design's headquarters tomorrow (June 1st), Mel Rowden and managing director Ian Board aim to arrive in Hyde Park in London on June 4th. The idea came about when Board spotted a mile marker pointing the 97 miles to Hyde Park from the village, the company explains.
Board explains why the team chose Wiltshire Air Ambulance: "We couldn't think of a more worthwhile and local cause. All of the monies raised from the 97-mile challenge will be donated to Wiltshire Air Ambulance Trust."
Bex Design is a longstanding customer of Mimaki distributor Hybrid Services. Its marketing manager Duncan Jefferies comments: "Ian and Mel have a huge challenge ahead of them. We're delighted to sponsor them for the walk and wish them the very best of effort."
Sponsors can donate money online.
