HP's presentation at EcoPrint on Septemer 26th will focus on sustainability in retail environments
HP has announced its plans for the inaugural EcoPrint show, taking place in Berlin, Germany on September 26th and 27th 2012. The company says it will 'reiterate its focus on sustainability' with a series of presentations and talks.
As part of the Ecoshowcase activity, HP's latex applications specialist Roman Barba will host a presentation on September 26th entitled 'More sustainable choices for retail store decoration'. Christian Menegon, business development manager for HP Indigo, will give a presentation the following day looking at 'The environmental benefits of digital printing of labels and packaging' which will show how brand owners can 'reduce inventory, waste and the carbon footprint'.
A panel discussion chaired by Stephen Goddard, environmental leadership programme manager for HP Graphic Solutions Business, will examine sustainability developments in the USA and their global implications, including Sustainable Green Printing Partnership certification.
"Print business owners remain at the sharp end of the challenge to build a more sustainable future for the printing industry and consequently, they need to be at the heart of the discussion. EcoPrint provides us the ideal forum to present new ideas, look at best practice and help PSPs to make informed decisions regarding their own environmental choices," says Goddard.
