GMG has announced the availability of the GMG printer driver for Roland DG's printer/cutter VersaUV LEC-330, which it says will enable the production of 'perfect mock-ups'.
Colour management from GMG will allow the VersaUV LEC-330 to attain visual matches, both locally and remotely, with print processes including offset, flexographic, gravure and spot colour printing. GMG also claims the driver also ensures high repeatability by calibrating target printers 'within tight tolerances'.
The VersaUV LEC-330, a UV-LED ink-jet machine, is used for packaging proofing and labelling, as well as prototyping in the display industry. It can handle a range of substrates such as paper and paper compounds, aluminium foils, PE and PET foils, transparent films, plastic, polycarbonate and other rigid materials. The unit also features high-opacity ECO-UV white ink, suitable for transparent media, and ECO-UV clear ink, for spot varnishing, simulated gloss and matte finishes and embossed effects.
