Operations managers can monitor production via any internet browser using Fiery Dashboard, says EFI
EFI has launched a new cloud-based service, Fiery Dashboard, which enables print production managers and owners to access real-time production data via the internet, including using tablets and smartphones.
EFI, which announced the new service at its annual Connect conference, says Fiery Dashboard offers 'anytime access' to allow company owners to analyse information and 'make better business decisions' quickly. This data includes engine status and utilisation, colour and black and white splits, printed jobs and pages, and the origination of problems and cancellations.
Managers can customise the dashboard view of Fiery Dashboard to measure growth over set date ranges, highlight the work of specific individual or groups of printers, or define engine utilisation targets, explains EFI.
"From printer uptime and utilisation to media use and paper jams, as well as a host of other metrics, now print shop owners and managers can take better control of their operation with our cloud-based Fiery Dashboard service," says John Henze, vice-president of Fiery marketing, EFI. "Users don’t have to be in their shop to stay on top of their operations, and don't need to stop the presses to get the information necessary to make the right, data-driven business decisions."
