EFI and Kodak have launched their collaborative solution integrating EFI's Fiery Digital Print Servers and Kodak Prinergy Workflow. The 'real-time connectivity' will help PSPs meet increasing demand for short-run, fast turnaround jobs, says EFI.

Enabled by Job Definition Format/Job Messaging Format (JDF/JMF), the 'two-way flow of data' will allow users to route jobs to the most suitable device and increase production efficiency through one central interface. EFI's John Henze says the solution is 'not only simple to deploy' but will also eliminate errors.

The collaboration represents 'another milestone in the evolution of Prinergy Workflow', adds Kodak's Jon Bracken.
