The Canon imagePrograf iPF510 is suitable for in-house signage production
Canon has released the new imagePrograf iPF510 in the UK and Ireland, as an upgrade to the imagePrograf LP17. The 17" (43cm) machine is aimed at the Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Geographic Information System (GIS) markets as well as in-house print rooms wishing to create large-format prints such as POS displays, posters and company notices.
The imagePrograf iPF510 features a Reactive ink system, using 'highly colourfast' CMYK dye inks plus two channels of pigment-based matte black for 'vibrant full-bleed posters, clear text documents and crisp technical drawings', says Canon.
The unit is compatible with Microsoft Windows 7 (32 Bit and 64 Bit) and Apple Macintosh OSX, and also comes bundled with PosterArtist Lite software, designed for the creation of posters. Canon adds the latest full version of the software, PosterArtist V2.20, is available separately and can be used with other Canon printers.
The imagePrograf iPF510 also boasts a small footprint and reduced noise, Canon adds.
