The 500th installation of EFI's VUTEk GS superwide-format printer has taken place at Gigantic Color in Dallas, USA. The 5m-wide EFI GS5000r roll-to-roll UV printer was delivered with an award this week.

Gigantic Color owner John Bowers Sr explains the printhouse required 'a reliable, very fast workhorse machine'. "We'll also be able to offer higher resolution images than anyone in the industry, unique multi-layer white ink printing, plus the MCS Warranty," he adds.

"We can serve our existing customers better and faster, acquire new customers and develop new applications such as printing onto rolled styrene."
