The new VersaArt RE-640 is offered with an Intermediate Digital Print course at the Roland DG Academy
Roland DG has announced the release of the new VersaArt RE-640 64" (1.6m) eco-solvent printer, aimed at sign and display businesses.
Using Eco-Sol Max ink, the VersaArt RE-640 offers four colours at a maximum speed of 23.1sq m/hr and features variable droplet control in seven size options and mirrored eight-channel ink configuration to ensure accurate reproduction and colour consistency.
Users can track production remotely via alerts sent to a computer or smartphone, while maintenance requirements are reduced owing to a dual-wiping system, which removes dust and debris from the print-head, says the manufacturer. The printer is also Energy Star and Roland Eco-Label certified.
Priced at £10,999, Roland DG claims to have 'smashed the barriers to entry' to the sign and display market, as technical director Brett Newman comments: "The new VersaArt printer is designed to meet the demands of today's global marketplace by providing high-speed printing and impressive colour reproduction at an affordable price point.
"Sign shops and print providers will appreciate the performance features, versatility and outstanding overall value offered by our eco-solvent RE-640."
