GJ Plastics uses its new HP Scitex FB500 printer and foam PVC for newspaper dump bin production
GJ Plastics, based in Manchester, UK, has taken delivery of an HP Scitex FB500 industrial printer to help it extend its POS display and container product range, which includes newspaper and magazine dump bins.
"We use our highly accurate lasers and CNC routers to cut the dump bins in durable 5mm white foam PVC, not cheap 3mm substitutes," explains Graham Croston, director, GJ Plastics.
"It is far longer lasting than cardboard because it is not affected by humidity, moisture and general spills. The HP FB500 fits well into our production requirements and quality values."
GJ Plastics also uses laminated MDF and solid and fluted polypropylene for output such as competition entry displays, ballot, deposit and suggestion boxes and portable voting stations, ticket towers and customer survey stands. HP Scitex FB500 can print on these and other substrates up to 122 x 163cm in size and up to 64mm thick in seven colours including white, states HP.
The HP Scitex FB500 industrial printer was supplied by CWE Solutions.
