EFI's VUTEk HS100 Pro offers true greyscale print-head technology and up to eight ink colours, including white and specials
The EFI VUTEk HS100 Pro is a 3.2m UV-curable engine which the company says 'represents a true replacement for analogue equipment'. EFI cites the machine's 'precise ink lay-down' and 'impressive throughput speeds' as likely to appeal to screen printers, as well as a low cost-per-print compared to analogue processes.
Scott Schinlever, senior vice-president and general manager of Inkjet Solutions at EFI, says: "This next generation EFI VUTEk press should win every side-by-side comparison with existing digital presses in terms of offering the best combination of speed, output quality and return on investment."
Complementing its existing range of cloud software, EFI is now offering data back-up, storage and recovery options for its management information software (MIS) and web-to-print customers, allowing them to securely store their data off-site.
"The cloud is not only ideal for hosting services, but also for providing other critical capabilities such as disaster recovery," says Greg Carter, director of EFI cloud services. "Our capacity and expertise ensure a timely recovery at a moment that is trying and critical for any organisation."
