The VUTEk QS2 Pro 'ups the stakes' for high-quality fine art and POP output, says EFI
EFI has launched a new addition to its VUTEk range capable of high-quality output at production speeds on its booth at drupa, it says. The VUTEk QS2 Pro is designed for fine art and POS work and has already impressed visitors to the Düsseldorf show, according to the manufacturer.
The 2m-wide (79") UV hybrid engine combines variable drop greyscale technology with high throughput speeds to cater to 'increasing demands' from display producers, photo labs and sign-makers looking to take on 'more colour-critical and higher-premium jobs'. Using EFI's UV-curable inks in six colours plus white, the QS2 Pro offers a wider colour gamut for improved Pantone matching and in-line multi-layer print capability.
"Customers visiting the EFI stand at drupa have commented that the image quality, speed and overall performance of the new QS2 Pro are impressive," says Ken Hanulec, vice-president of marketing for EFI ink-jet solutions.
Touted as a cost-effective option, the VUTEk QS2 Pro is 'ruggedly constructed' for extended operation, says EFI. The machine will be supplied with Fiery XF proServer software and an optional roll-to-roll feature is also available.
