Landor's Phototex attracted interest after appearing on The Gadget Show
Landor Phototex self-adhesive printable wall fabric has appeared on Channel 5's The Gadget Show, where it competed against conventional wallpaper.
The UK television programme, which aired on November 22nd, featured celebrity builder Tommy Walsh's traditionally pasted wallpaper pitched against the show's presenter Suzi Perry and a mural made from the Phototex product. The fabric wallcovering was printed onto using an Epson 11880 ink-jet printer.
"Since the show was aired we've had hundreds of people asking for home murals," says Landor's managing director Derric Landor.
"[Phototex's] soft furnishing, stable fabric opens up the doors of creativity and opportunity for printers, retailers, home users and the corporate sector to improve the quality of advertising as well as the comfort of visual and art imaging in the home," he continues. "Phototex can easily be used also for cutting out decals, personalising photos and signs quickly and simply."
The product can be used for small or large graphics, walls, doors and indoor and outdoor applications, Landor says, adding that it is possible to 'position, remove or reposition without the usual difficulties attributed to the more common and lesser eco-friendly vinyls in the market today'.
A video of the segment has been made available.
