The SureColor SC-S50600 is among Epson's global launches at drupa
Epson has unveiled six new wide-format and label printers at drupa today (May 3rd), plus the company's first UV ink suitable for uncoated paper and film label substrates and 'a completely new' print-head.
In label converting, the seven-colour SurePress Digital Label Press L-4033AW offers white ink and can print onto clear and metallic materials.
The SureColor range boasts five new additions. For signage and POS, making its international debut is the new four/five-colour SureColor SC-S50600, a 64" (1.6m) roll-fed wide-format printer offering speeds up to 50sq m/hr thanks to twin Thin Film Piezo print-heads and dual ink-sets.
Also introduced is the SureColor SC-S70600 eight/ten-colour printer, with white and metallic ink offered in the latter version. It is a 64" (1.6m) roll-fed printer which can support white and metallic inks at the same time, and features Epson's UltraChrome GSX Ink and the new Thin Film Piezo print-head to provide resolutions up to 1,440 x 1,440dpi. It offers speeds up to 27.3sq m/hr in eight-colour high-speed mode, and 4.1sq m/hr with metallic ink.
The four-colour SureColor SC-T7000 44" (1.1m), SC-T5000 36" (0.9m) and SC-T3000 24" (0.6m) printers have also been launched at drupa for the CAD and GIS market, and POS output.
