Leicestershire-based Vivid Laminating Technologies has revealed an upgraded Polarsign wide-format laminating system at drupa 2012, as well as spreading the word about the recent rebrand of its ProLife film range to Boss.

The entry-level Polarsign system, available in 1.4m (55") or 1.6m (63") widths and in both hot and cold lamination options, has been designed as a 'cost-effective' finishing solution for sign-makers. The four models all feature a pressure gauge handle, a foot pedal for controlled operation and variable speed modes. The new systems are being shown at drupa alongside Vivid's 'eagerly awaited' Matrix auto feeders and the manufacturer's entire range of laminating, binding and finishing products.

Vivid is also hailing the rebrand of its range of laminates, pouches and films as 'a great success', saying customer feedback has been 'really positive'.

"The quality of Boss is just as amazing as ProLife was," says product manager Bruce Cozens. "We know how good Boss is and so do our customers. But we also want to prove the quality to new customers. We believe they won’t find better quality for the price."
