The AutoTrim XY complements ArtSystems's range of HP Latex printers, it says
ArtSystems is now offering the Xativa AutoTrim XY and the Xativa Textile Super Trim auto-trimmers, which the supplier is emphasising as useful in reducing bottlenecks.
The AutoTrim XY can handle sheets and rolls of vinyl, banner, polyester, photo paper, polycarbonate film and other substrates up to 1,650mm wide cutting on all four sides simultaneously thanks to an optical mark sensor.
The Xativa Textile Super Trim is designed for cutting natural and synthetic fabrics, suitable for soft signage, with bi-directional cut with an independent rotary blade that can be heated up to 350°C. it is available in widths of 1.7m, 2.8 and 3.4m.
"We wanted to offer our resellers additional print finishing options to address problems such as bottleneck delays, which can occur during busy production runs," comments Andrew Edwards, Sign and Display divisional manager, ArtSystems.
"Modern wide-format printers like the HP Latex L26500 can produce high volumes of print but if these cannot be finished with the same speed and quality then there is a danger that the productivity gains can be lost.
"The new Xativa trimmers are manufactured to the highest quality in Italy; we then cover the warranty here in the UK."
