(L-R) Atech's Allan Ashman and Pyramid's digital product manager Carl Birchall shake on the deal, which includes Roland wide-format printers

Atech says it has agreed a strategic alliance with Pyramid Display Materials, which will allow Pyramid to sell Atech's wide-format printing and display finishing equipment. The deal includes Roland printers and cutters, Seal laminators, Matic banner welders and sewing machines, Bobis's multi-applicator table, FTC vertical saws and cutters, and Dataplot eyelet machines.

Neil McCarthy, head of sales and marketing for Pyramid, says the company is 'very pleased' to announce the agreement. "The alliance with Atech is in direct response to our customers asking for advice on wide-format equipment and ancillary machinery," he states. "In the past, we have just passed these enquiries to various other machinery suppliers but in reality this was a missed opportunity to broaden Pyramid's product portfolio."

Atech's managing director Allan Ashman says that the alliance also extends Atech's geographical reach beyond its Welwyn Garden City showroom. "By forming a strategic alliance with Pyramid for all our hardware products […] sign and display professionals can see and buy the most comprehensive range of print and finishing products in the UK at either of our showrooms."
