The MTex 3200 is suitable for those looking for an upgrade or 'to enter the market in a serious way', says supplier DPI

Wide-format print equipment supplier Digital Print Innovations (DPI) has installed an MTex 3200 Digital Textile Printer at its Digital Print Innovation Centre in Derby.

The 3.2m or 1.6m MTex 3200, which is based on the Mimaki JV5, features integrated dye-sublimation fixation and vapour extraction units, a four-colour inkset, and twelve individually controlled infrared heaters for even temperature distribution across the entire width of the textile substrate. It can offer a maximum resolution of 1,440 x 1,440dpi, with seven to 21 picolitre variable drops from four staggered Epson DX5 print-heads.

DPI will host demonstrations of the printer from June 26th.
