The SolJet Pro 4 XR-640 was launched last week
Somerset-based Sign Solutions SW has become the first owner in Europe of the new Roland SolJet Pro 4 XR-640, having ordered the machine from PrintMax by the end of its launch day on September 12th.
Company director Kate Murray is an existing Roland user and PrintMax customer and opted to trade up an XJ-series machine to take advantage of the XR-640's light black ink, improving the company's ability to reproduce skin tones and gradients. The machine's print-and-cut capability also influenced her decision to upgrade.
"The high printing speeds allow us a faster production rate without compromising the quality we rely on," Murray explains. "The added features in VersaWorks, along with the ink modifications, will not only enhance our printing but allow for a smoother process."
"Kate has been looking for that next level of printing for a while and I believe her wait has been worthwhile," comments Michael Bolton, managing director of PrintMax. "The XR-640 really is a fantastic printer; it's faster and allows for more accurate printing thanks to the development of the new Eco-Sol Max2 ink."
PrintMax will deliver the XR-640 to Sign Solutions SW in November.
