HP has launched its UK PrintStation network in Nottingham with partner John E Wright, following a world-wide initiative that sees it extend wide-format graphics and other digital print applications into the consumer and SMB marketplace.
HP's PrintStations cater to graphics and marketing applications ranging from business cards up to posters or architectural plan printing, and, supported by John E Wright's existing infrastructure, aim to promote other wide- and superwide-format applications into the consumer sector. Specifically, the plan aims to cut out the 'middle man' and therefore save money for students and small businesses' graphics printing requirements.
Engendering an evolution of ePrint+Share technology – launched in the architectural and CAD markets last year – and leveraging web-to-print as a method ever increasing in popularity, HP and John E Wright aim to combine a graphic design or consultancy service with poster and banner printing, online asset management and narrower-format applications, such as business cards and flyers.
Output's exclusive video interviews with HP's Paolo Dal Santo and Phil Oakley, plus John E Wright's Tony Barnett, and a full written overview will be available shortly.
