Swiss print-house Christinger Partner has spoken of the benefits to its business it has experienced since achieving the process standard offset PSO/ISO 12647-2 using HP Scitex TJ8350 and HP Scitex FB7600 industrial presses. Christinger was the first company world-wide to receive the ISO/PSO certification for its digital HP Scitex TJ8350, in June 2011.

"It's changing the way we work," states Karlheinz Kaiser, chief executive, Christinger. "About 90 percent of customer files used to come in on a CD with a colour proof. Now we get more than 90 percent of files via download with no proof.

"Our customers know that if they send files prepared to the PSO standard, we can guarantee the output. This saves time and cost for us and for our customers."

Referring to achieving certification on both HP Scitex machines, Kaiser adds: "This positions us as a quality print service provider with standardised processes. It means reproducibility for reprints and extra orders regardless of who prepared the file or who the operator is each time."
