Dan Funderburgh's science-influenced designs were printed using HP wide-format equipment
The 'trendsetting' wallpaper designs of artist Dan Funderburgh, produced using HP Designjet printing technology, have been put on show at the gallery of Barcelona design studio Vasava.
The 'Time/Life: Science/Library' exhibition at the Vallery gallery included prints of Funderburgh's wallpaper designs and objects including boxes and a mannequin wrapped in his printed designs, all produced using a HP Designjet L25500 printer, Designjet Z2100 photo printer and materials such as PVC-free wallpaper and air release adhesive gloss cast vinyl.
"I was amazed at the quality of colour in prints of my digital art using HP Designjet technology," says Funderburgh. "My digital art printed just like on [the] screen using HP Designjet technology. I was really wowed by that."
HP explains that the water-based latex inks used with the Designjet L25500 printer require no hazard label or special ventilation, enabling 'a pleasant environment' in both the print room and the gallery. "It's not just about print quality. It's about having options for the art and the environment," adds Funderburgh.
