Sappi's Fusion has been used for POS displays by Holbox
Netherlands-based display producer Holbox has developed a number of POS items using the new Fusion speciality paper from Sappi. The displays benefit from the material's bright white finish, says Sappi.
"One of the major benefits of Fusion is that it is very bright, allowing a brilliant colour gamut and a 'real' white," says Holbox director Martijn Hol. "And because Fusion is white through and through, there is no issue when the paper goes around a corner. Our previous paper had a grey back, which in some cases peeked through the white front."
"Also, Fusion doesn't crease when punched," he adds.
Each of Holbox's display designs are unique, explains Sappi, and the company has a variety of die-cutting tools which are used after the technical preparation and the design creation. Holbox uses offset presses for the printing element of the manufacture.
Among Holbox's customers is the Jumbo supermarket chain, which previously did not accept POS displays, but changed its policy recently.
