Genix Imaging UK produced a range of graphics for Nike Town using the Seiko ColorPainter H-74S
Genix Imaging UK has commented on its investment in a Seiko ColorPainter H-74S last year, which it says is 'a valuable addition to our workflow capabilities' and has been used for projects including at Nike Town in London.
The H-74S, supplied by Colourgen reseller Landor UK, replaced four old ColorPainter 64S printers at Genix's studio. Roger Bull, managing director of Genix, states the company undertook 'a very detailed analysis' of other options, 'but there is nothing in this price range that comes anywhere near the Seiko'.
"The colour space it provides is broader than the aqueous printers we use and it is more efficient in terms of energy and maintenance. We can leave this printer for long periods completely unattended and since installing it around ten months ago we have had very few issues," he adds.
Among Genix's recent projects was for the Nike Town shop in Oxford Circus, which involving printing onto engineering-grade vinyl to allow a cut-out graphic to be fitted onto a painted wall, and printing a large Nike graphic onto grey-backed self-adhesive vinyl to eliminate show-through.
