A 100 x 37m banner has been revealed by Service Graphics to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee – the largest PVC banner produced in the UK, according to the large-format print and display producer.

The graphic has been installed on Sea Containers House near Blackfriars Bridge on London's South Bank and depicts an image of the Queen and the Royal Family at the Silver Jubilee in 1977.

Service Graphics, a division of St Ives, printed the banner onto black-back PVC on a Durst Rho 500 machine in 42 separate sections, before high-frequency welding equipment was used to bond the PVC into seven sections. The project was completed in 15 days, with the necessary scaffolding covered for the duration of the installation.

The company was awarded the contract by property development firm Deerbrook Group, after seeing a similar project by Service Graphics.

"We are delighted to work with Deerbrook Group to produce such an extraordinary building banner," says Scott King, sales director, Service Graphics. "This project represents the largest ever single graphic produced by Service Graphics and we are extremely pleased with the result."
