Shoppers at the recently opened Westfield Stratford City shopping centre have been greeted by a banner which its creator Hollywood Monster claims is the biggest in the UK. 

The Birmingham-based graphics company's installation team fitted the display, measuring 350 x 14m, in time for the opening of the shopping complex – itself the largest in Europe. The launch was attended by 20,000 visitors, including pop stars Pixie Lott and Nicole Scherzinger.

In addition to the banner display, which was printed on an HP Revolution 5m machine on 400g/sq m mesh fabric, Hollywood Monster's contract includes 85 hoardings, 45 fabric hoardings and 40 vinyl glass wraps for Westfield Stratford City.

"The banner display looks fantastic and adds to the wow factor at Westfield Stratford City," says Simon McKenzie, director, Hollywood Monster. "I was very proud to see all our hard work and expertise demonstrated for the world to see as the launch ceremony took place. It has been an amazing project to be involved with.

"We're used to tackling huge projects, working as we do with various sports stadia and major construction clients, but this is the largest banner display we've ever undertaken. It is possibly the largest ever produced in the UK."
