Manufacturing round-up: Avery Dennison, Screen and EEF

Avery Dennison has had its European headquarters ranked as 'very good' through the BREEAM certification process. This assessment method looks at how well a business has developed a sustainable built environment. 

Schneidler Grafiska has extended its relationship with Screen. The Nordic distributor will now offer the Truepress Jet L350UV label engine through its channel. 

A set of regional 'transitioning hubs' have been established by the EEF to assist manufacturers looking to adopt ISO14001:2015. These will take place across the UK, with Warrington, Sheffield, Reading and Gateshead the first locations to host session.

Digital round-up: AV Stumpfl, Visiobox

An 8K version of Wings Engine Raw will be on show at AV Stumpfl's stand at ISE 2016. The upgraded server incorporates a custom RAID 10 storage system and additional hardware interfaces for smoother operation. 

From Russia with love: at least, that is the plan for software platform developers Visiobox. The Russian-Israeli business intends to branch out its operations on an international scale.

Print round-up: Roland DG and Ergosoft

As well as showcasing its new baby flat-bed VersaUV LEF-300, Roland DG will run a scratch-card competition at SDUK, giving customers the chance to win a set of inks, a place on one of its Academy courses, or a Soljet EJ-640 printer. 

Meanwhile, Ergosoft plans to use FESPA Digital to showcase v15 of its RIP software. The program, which will be presented in beta mode, includes nesting and hot folder tools as well as gamut mapping.

Tony Scully becomes the new UK sales director for TD Maverick. He will be responsible for its team of European salespeople as well as managing the company's key targets and vendors.

Freestyle Designs
 has invested in Josero's Bubble Free Pro Flat-bed Applicator. This purchase has allowed the sign-maker to add an integrated sheet cutter to its production line.

Daily round-up

Roland DG has announced that its New Product Creative Centre open day will run on February 23rd. Visitors will learn about RIPs and see the new VersaUV LEF-300, SoljetT EJ-640 and Texart RT-640 in action.

Bordeaux will showcase its new water-based pigment ink for fabrics at FESPA alongside its full portfolio of alternative inks. Meanwhile, GMG will conduct hands-on colour management training sessions at its headquarters during drupa 2016.

Reggiani textile printer has found a new home at Ivo Prints; the company purchased the machine from i-Sub Digital. Finally, EFI has relocated its APAC operations to a new facility in Shanghai.
