Dear Diary,
They're digging up the road outside the plant and it's playing havoc with our deliveries. This is exceedingly annoying as we have a tonne of work that needs to get out today. Hoping they will get on with it and the vans will be able to get out soon.
It had better be done by the end of the week. We're expecting a visit from my cousin's husband's sister's uncle's dad who is some kind of Russian oligarch thingy. We aren't sure if he's really an oligarch or if my cousin is just messing us about. Nor am I entirely sure what qualifies someone as an oligarch or not. My cousin reckons said oligarch and I will have loads to talk about as he is thinking about buying a new HP Scitex LX850 wide-format printer. Apparently he's been invited to see it in action at the local distributor, but wants to take a close peek at ours first.
Must say it won't be a problem to sing that printer's praises. Lovely bit of kit that just runs and runs. Must remember to show the oligarch how the ink collector, and the dual-roll, roll-to-freefall and roll-to-collector have all aided our workflow. Of course if they don't get that blasted road cleared soonish, none of it will matter. Off to the shop for vodka, borscht and chocolate biscuits.
Do svidanya!
Honey Printler is really pre-press expert and green print supporter Laurel Brunner writing in a much sillier way than usual.
