Dear Diary,
Some numpty on a bender drove his 4x4 into our showroom instead of turning into the high street! The place is a total mess, glass everywhere and oil and radiator fluid all over the floor. It looks like we've been ram-raided and I got to spend the afternoon talking to police and insurance people. This was not at all what I had planned for a Monday morning.
What I really wanted to do was to trawl through jobs we've done over the last sixth months, to see if we can enter the HP Print Excellence Awards. Much of what we've been doing lately has been pretty top-notch stuff for customers who have begged for absolute brand colour matches. They willingly pay the price for these jobs, all of which have of course been gorgeous. I reckon some of this stuff could be strong contenders for the HP Designjet or Scitex category prizes. Must find out more about what's needed.
But no, it will have to wait while I deal with the broken glass and crunched up coffee machine. At least I've got a few weeks. The deadline for entries is March 15th next year. And it's free so we will definitely be entering in more than one category. We've got some pretty impressive work for the environmentally responsible category as well.
Back to the glass. Must send someone out to buy a kettle to stand in for what was once a coffee machine.
Toodle-pip!
Honey Printler is really pre-press expert and green print supporter Laurel Brunner writing in a much sillier way than usual.
