(L-R) Signs Express Central Lancashire's new directors Robin Longton and Darren Wilkinson with managing director Alan Parkinson

Signs Express Central Lancashire, located in Preston, has commented on its success in a difficult financial climate and how it is expanding with promoted employees and equipment investments.

Managing director of the franchise, Alan Parkinson, explains that promoting long-time employees Robin Longton and Darren Wilkinson to the roles of sales and marketing director, and production and installation director respectively, 'makes sound commercial sense'.

"We know we're appointing trusted, reliable directors and it prevents us losing key staff members who may be tempted to look elsewhere to climb the career ladder," he says.

"What’s more, they've proven that expansion can be achieved with a little imagination and strategic thinking – especially in the tough economic circumstances – and I have been delighted with their loyalty, enthusiasm and determination to continue to push the business forward to be one of the largest sign companies in the north-west."

The appointments follow the expansion of Signs Express Central Lancashire's services to include Blackpool and Blackburn.
