UK POS says its pavement signs are a popular option with retailers at Halloween
UK Point of Sale (UK POS) is urging retailers to prepare for festivals such as Halloween and Bonfire Night with appropriate display material. The supplier notes that treating the autumn holidays in the same way as Christmas is important during the current economic climate.
"Choosing products that emphasise special displays, and indicate to shoppers where a particular product is, are essential and can have a huge impact on sales," explains Debra Jamieson, sales and marketing director, UK POS. "High-street retailers and supermarkets increasingly have to compete with online retailers but have the upper hand in terms of visual impact and the opportunity to cross-sell, either on the aisles or at the tills.
"Halloween is a time where retailers can be more creative with their POS to encourage their customers to spend more on a variety of merchandise, but they need to start thinking about this well ahead of the Halloween rush."
UK POS says its most popular point-of-sale products for the Halloween period are hang strips and impulse bins for the promotion of sweets, clear PVC wobbler strips for shelf edges, and pavement signs to drive customers inside shops.
