Chalk pavement signs offer a way for the hospitality industry to promote sports events and offers, says UK POS

UK Point of Sale (UK POS) has offered advice to London-based retailers in preparation of an extra 4m people arriving in the UK capital for the Olympics, emphasising the importance of effective and flexible POS displays.

"It's key that businesses stand out in the crowded market," says Debra Jamieson, sales and marketing director, UK POS.

"Consumers will be subject to 'promotion overload' and flexible point-of-sale is essential to allow hotels, restaurants and cafés to personalise signage for the sporting season."

Products like chalkboards and chalk A-boards offer an 'elegant' option, says the company.
