Icon:SLS provided flagpoles for Christie's live internet auction for the sale of the contents of Cowdray Park House
The specialist event overlay division of branding company Icon, Icon:SLS, has installed wayfinding comprising both indoor and outdoor signage for international auction house Christie's.
Icon:SLS also installed six 6.5m flagpoles on the approach to Cowdray Park House in West Sussex, UK, the contents of which were being auctioned. Icon:SLS provided additional installations across the house and a special 16 x 40m marquee which served as an outdoor auction room.
The event took the form of a live internet auction requiring over 100 phone lines, handled by a team of nine auctioneers. There was significant interest from both UK and international buyers, according to Christie's.
"With an expected total attendance of over 5,000 visitors to the four public viewing and three sales days, wayfinding and signage was critical for both the success and safety of the sale," explains Giles Stanford, managing director, Icon:SLS.
There are 'plans in place for more prestigious projects' with Christie's next year, says Icon:SLS.
