The 40m sign had to be visible to ferries both arriving and leaving the dock at Hull

A 40m-long sign has been produced and installed at King George Dock in Hull by Signs Express, welcoming ferries to the UK city.

Signs Express Hull was set the challenge of creating the sign, for Associated British Ports, in a single piece, for which it used the Spirit-Flex system. The team employed full-colour digitally printed PVC skin and applied UV protected liquid laminate to the sign's face to extend its lifetime.

"From design to fitting, Signs Express was excellent in meeting our requirements," says Glenn Silburn, contracts coordinator, Associated British Ports. "A friendly and very professional service."
