Spirit Displays's Spirit-Tex allows printed fabric panels to be tucked into the frame to reduce finishing requirements
Banner tensioning system manufacturer Spirit Displays has added a new 'sturdy [and] easy-to-use' frame product to its range. Called Spirit-Tex, the patent-pending system is designed for lightweight fabric displays and is available in wall-mounted, freestanding and back-lit profiles.
According to Spirit Displays, Spirit-Tex can 'reduce or even eliminate the need for finishing' as fabric displays can be printed with or without bleed and the edges tucked into the frame using a silicone strip application and Spirit Displays's Spirit-Tex Gripper. The process also allows larger textiles to be used – the company highlights a project at London's Selfridges department store which included an 18 x 3m frame. Double-sided tape Tex-Tape can be affixed to the perimeter of the textile to reinforce the edge as an alternative securing system.
Spirit Displays also emphasises the recyclability of Spirit-Tex profiles, which are manufactured in the UK. They are available fully fabricated or in stock profiles and flat-pack kits.
"The industry has been crying out for a simple, flexible display solution for lightweight fabrics, and we have listened," says Hadley Weight, Spirit Displays director. "We are proud to be the first to respond to the demand with Spirit-Tex."
