Applelec's new Totem system provides features for variable signage depths

Signage, lighting and display component supplier Applelec has introduced a new range of extruded aluminium profiles for modular totem construction.

Because Totem is constructed with two basic profiles mounted around aluminium or steel totem frames and two cover profiles are mounted to its base, it is possible to create totems with variable depths in standard increments of 10, 15 or 20cm and a height of up to 6m with the same basic profile.

"The Totem frame offers maximum flexibility to our customers," says Applelec managing director Ian Drinkwater.

Fluorescent tubes, LED modules or Applelec's LED Light Sheet can provide face illumination, and face panels can be lifted out for updating the hardware or graphics and to facilitate replacement of damaged electrical components. Side illumination can also be added between the end profiles.

Sign company NSI has already used the product. "The modular Totem supplied by Applelec was well manufactured and by using this system, we were able to able to create a stylish totem sign that our customer was very happy with," says Gemma Patel of NSI.
