The adhesives are designed for signage substrates
Scigrip has announced its entrance into the European sign and display market with a range of adhesives specially formulated for common sign substrates such as metals, plastics and composites, and developed to offer a choice of curing speed and viscosities for different applications.
For plastics, Scigrip's range includes PPX5 Ultimate Plastic Bonder for materials with low energy surfaces such as polypropylene and polyethylene, and Product 42 for bonding clear PMMA (acrylic). SG300 and SG5000 are designed for metal-to-plastic or metal-to-metal adhesion, while UV106 is a thixotropic UV adhesive for bonding metals and glass to clear plastics without UV curing. The Sign and Display range also covers the adhesion of composites including carbon fibre, GRP and Alucabond, with cure speeds from two minutes to two hours.
"We are targeting the European market during the launch phase and have the opportunity to expand into Asia," comments Paul Nelson, European business development director, Scigrip. "It is an exciting time for the organisation as we continue to evolve and demonstrate our flexibility to meet ever-changing assembly techniques."
The products are available through distributors.
