The Warwick branch of Signs Express has taken part in the town's first 'tweet-up' – a Twitter-based networking event for local businesses. The sign-maker produced a PVC banner to promote the evening, which attracted over 80 people from a range of companies.
"We are always keen to embrace new technology and started using Twitter six months ago as a way of promoting our business and developing relationships with like-minded business people in the local area," says centre owner Andy Slater. "We soon discovered there were lots of small- and medium-sized businesses in Warwick using Twitter and it is a great way to keep in touch.
"The tweet-up was a fantastic idea and brought together social media with traditional networking as well as being a lot of fun. It is important for local businesses to work together as much as possible and I think this event is a great way to explore the talent in the area. We were happy to assist with promotion of the event and provided a full-colour digitally printed banner for the official gathering."
A second Warwick tweet-up will be held in May.
