Last year's Print Futures Awards winners received funds to help their careers

Entries are now being accepted for the Print Futures Awards 2012. The scheme is open to people aged between 16 and 30 who work in the graphic arts, printing and publishing industries, with winners given grants of £1,500 to help them with their careers.

The deadline for applications is May 31st, with the awards ceremony confirmed for July 11th at the House of Lords.

The Print Futures Awards are sponsored by The Printing Charity, the BPIF and Unite the Union. Unite's national officer, Steve Sibbald, comments: "Applications are particularly welcome from people already working in the UK print industry, who are on low incomes and want to undertake short courses or training sessions to develop their skills and improve their earning capacity."

Those intending to work in the relevant industries are also eligible to enter the contest. Application forms can be downloaded from the Print Futures Awards website.
