Vista System's laser-cut pictograms were designed to be attached to its Modular Curved Frame Technology signage systems
Signage system manufacturer Vista System International has been presented with a 2011 Adex Platinum Award For Design Excellence, recognising its laser-cut pictogram series.
Vista System explains that the pictograms were developed by its research and development team for a terminal project, and were designed as an add-on for the company's sign frames. Any icon or logo – custom designed or existing – can be chosen by the customer, before being laser-cut from an aluminium sheet and attached as required to the sign.
The winners of the Adex programme – AKA the Awards for Design Excellence – are selected by an anonymous panel of professionals from across the design industry. Product designs covering furniture, fixtures and finishes are included in the scheme, and awards are given in three levels of platinum, gold or silver.
Vista System states the judges chose its laser-cut pictogram product for a platinum award 'for its superior product design and quality'.
