The BPIF has praised Nottingham-based Sherwood Press for achieving the ISO 12647-2 in its certification scheme, accredited by Print and Media Certification.

Alan Coulton from Sherwood Press explains the ISO certification process: "The first part of the process was to start talks with each department on the relevant areas of 12647 that covered their areas of production, ensuring that both repro and the press room worked closely together."

He adds: "[ISO 12647] is a great tool to keep in check good printing practices across all departments involved in production."
