This prototype of Digital Information's PP490 has been developed to automate double-sided printing on Epson's Stylus Pro 4900 ink-jet printer

Swiss print solutions provider Digital Information will present a new double-sided printing system designed for photobooks, posters and POS applications on its ColorBar stand at drupa from next week, the company has announced.

Described as a 'critical' new product for the photography and pre-press markets, the pneumatic PP490 system is designed to work with the Epson Stylus Pro 4900 ink-jet printer to automatically turn and re-feed sheets up to 17 x 22" (43 x 56cm) into the printer.

Digital Information has also developed specialist software to drive the PP490 through RIP and workflow systems.
