A Duplo DC-745e has aided Anton's digital finishing production
The Anton Group has added a Duplo Digital System 5000 Pro bookletmaking system and a DC-745e digital cutter/creaser to its Laindon, Essex site in order to meet demand for variable data work.
Duplo states that around 90 percent of all Anton's digital work has become variable, which must be tracked.
Bryan Knight, digital press manager at Anton, explains: "We have acquired some large, high-profile accounts who require complex variable data work. Much of this work contains very sensitive data and as a result, integrity has to be priority number one. With the intelligent barcoding system on the Digital System 5000 Pro, we are able to track every single booklet that it produces. Any errors are flagged up immediately and the rest of the run is not affected."
In addition, the DC-745e machine 'has reduced what was previously a bit of a bottleneck', according to Knight, by completing perforating and scoring as well as cutting and creasing.
