Kodak's Pat Holloway says his company's intent is 'to widen the scope of consumables managed and operate in other EU countries'

Kodak has announced the launch of a Sustainable Printer Programme (SPP) for Nexpress customers, in partnership with waste management specialist J&G Environmental.

The scheme will provide the collection and segregation of consumables waste and Operator Replaceable Components (ORC), to be taken back to a Kodak site for refurbishment and reuse.

"SPP goes beyond compliance, they give Kodak customers peace of mind, utilise waste hierarchy treatment, and can provide them with financial rewards from participating in our ORC operations," says Pat Holloway, Kodak UK marketing director.

J&G Environmental general manger John Haines adds: "We are delighted to have been chosen by Kodak as the preferred partner in its new Sustainable Printer Programme."

"We have worked closely with Kodak for a number of years and the launch of the Sustainable Printer Programme is the culmination of both companies' aim to provide Kodak Nexpress press customers in the UK with a waste management programme that both maximises recycling and can be financially advantageous to the participants."
