The Kodak Prosper 5000XL can be used for variable data printing

Kodak has announced that Japanese print provider Toppan Forms is using three Kodak Prosper 5000XL presses in order to meet demand for high-speed, variable data print in the education publishing market.

"Our experience shows that the Kodak Prosper 5000XL presses handle a staggering volume of work and produce extremely high-quality results," says Toshiro Masuda, senior managing director, Toppan Forms. "The potential is huge; we're confident that we can achieve almost 40 percent more throughput on the presses than we're producing now."

Kodak states the press can manage up to 90m A4 pages each month on coated and uncoated papers.
