Engineers from EFI Jetrion and Grafitec Label Presses have installed the UK's first EFI Jetrion 4900 printer at Colorscan Imaging Products in Burton upon Trent.

EFI states the Jetrion 4900 offers full digital production from file to finished label, and features a servo-driven transport system that can support 'a wide variety of substrates regardless of thickness', according to the manufacturer, plus a dual laser automatic die-cutting system, two-spindle semi-automatic turret rewind for finished rolls, and an integrated corona treater for filmic substrates.

Colorscan director Keith Forster signed the deal for the Jetrion 4900 on the first day of drupa 2012.
