Switzerland-based Carton Ideen has been named as the first buyer of the Zünd S3 cutter, which offers the same key features as the earlier G3 models plus a smaller footprint, says the manufacturer.

The Zünd S3 includes a direct-drive system and Z- and T-axis control described as 'ultra-fast', and is capable of processing vinyls, textile and films.

Much of Carton Ideen's work comprises personalised mailings, often 3D and 'highly individual', with the design, sampling and production of the finished packaging taking place in-house. Recent projects include a personalised A5 invitation for Heineken, for the Champions League final.
