Self-adhesive labelling industry association FINAT has announced the winners of its 32nd label awards scheme. FINAT described 2012 as 'a strong year', with 325 entries submitted by 52 companies.

The Group Winner for the Marketing/End-Uses Group is Collotype Labels, USA for Le Pich, while Skanem Poznan of Poland came top of the Printing Processes Group for its Soplica Szlachetna Wódka 500ml label. In the Non-Adhesive Applications Group, the winner was named as Skanem Poznan of Poland for its Eveline Cosmetics – Anti Stress project, and Schreiner Group of Germany and Auraprint Oy of Finland were awarded the Innovation Group prize jointly, for
Schreiner's integrated pressure compensation seal and Auraprint Oy's Orian Clean Card Pro.

Overall, India came top of the award winners' leader board, collecting twelve of the awards handed out at a ceremony at FINAT'S annual congress in Athens, Greece. UK label printers came tenth internationally, receiving three awards. FINAT explains that many of this year's winners will now be entered into the World Label Awards.
