Second outing for Lenstar Lenticular Print Award attracts 11,000 votes

The organisers of the Lenstar Lenticular Print Award (LLPA) say they were happy with the results of the second edition of the scheme, this year supported by German print trade show drupa.

Over 11,000 votes were collected during drupa, and the LLPA stand was 'crowded all day long', says sponsor DPLenticular. The winners were Kirchner Print.Media in both the Sales Material and Packaging Material categories, the Premium Promotional Material prize went to Weber Druck+Display, Riot of Colour picked up the Promotional Material award, the Large Format title went to Correstudio-Lentimax, and the winner of Artistic Works was Taco Visions.

In addition, a public prize, the Thomas Mark Supreme Public Preference Award, was presented to 3D Contact from Moscow for its 'Zombie' image, described as 'a real 3D photography combined with morphing'.

"We received applications from all the continents and the quality level was very high," comments Daniel Pierret, DPLenticular. "Last year, we received about 115 works. In 2012, due to the limitations (one work per category and three works per company) we received a little bit less works (about 80) but the quality was higher due to the selection made by the participants."
