QuickPrint SW quick off the mark with VersaCamm
Exeter-based QuickPrint SW purchased a Roland DG VersaCamm VS-640 the day the printers saw the machine in action at Roland's Creative Centre, the manufacturer has revealed.
Danny and Richard Frayne from QuickPrint SW accepted an invitation from Roland partner Avon Graphic Technologies to an open day at the Clevedon facility, where they placed an order for the 1.6m VersaCamm. The unit has print-and-cut capabilities, and uses both metallic and white ink alongside a six-colour palette.
"The VS-640 has opened brand new avenues for us, and currently we're using it to print banners, industrial and commercial labels and other applications, such as window graphics," states QuickPrint SW's managing director Danny Frayne. "It's allowed a large number of jobs to be brought in-house which, formerly, we had to outsource. This not only speeds up turnaround times but also gives us absolute control over all aspects of an order."
QuickPrint SW – which was established in 1961 – states the team will return to the Creative Centre to for a presentation on the new options for the VersaCAMM VS-640.
